Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Conclave

to an amazing future together

14-17 Nov 2019

Overview

Entrepreneurship plays an influential role in the economic growth and standard of living of the country. Entrepreneurship development is a powerful tool to empower individuals and improve their social acceptance. It must be complemented by economic growth and employment opportunities to meet the rising aspirations of youth. The challenge lies not only in a huge quantitative expansion of facilities for Entrepreneurship, but also in the awareness to opt it.

Rural development can be understood as the unfolding of capitalism in rural areas, and as that package of policy and project interventions that aim to foster socio-economic change and human improvement in rural areas. ‘Rural development’ thus addresses general issues of agrarian change, peasant economy, and rural politics. It addresses project impacts on rural people and environments, asking how these impacts might be improved and enhanced. Between these two bodies of work is that which focuses on interventions, but with a critical eye, inquiring into the ways in which projects themselves foster capitalist development, facilitate state and social control of rural populations, and constitute processes of rural modernization.

To cater demanding needs of the country in economic perspective, it is necessary to boost Rural Entrepreneurship. Here in ERDC we are focused to discuss, create and; launch Rural Entrepreneurial projects by intervention of various stake holders including schools, colleges and; universities with backup support of technical expertise and; manpower having support of public representatives like Member of Parliament and; Gram Panchayat Head. ERDC 2019 is being organized by the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh and Young Hopes of India Foundation with a view to create Entrepreneurial mindset and; abilities of school children and; Rural areas for greater impact in the socio-economic development of the region.
